Happy Monday morning, WABBLES friends! After a long and busy night of foul weather, I know you all will be delighted to hear that there is nothing but sun and blue skies forecasted for our start to the last week of June. But it looks like we’ll be trading in the wet rain for some serious heat. How hot? We’ll break it down together in today’s weather blog!

You’re gonna want to be cranking the AC this week… (GIPHY)

Today’s Forecast

Now that last night’s severe storms are out of our area, the most exciting headline for the WABBLES region over the next several days is going to be THE HEAT! While our Monday brings with it no chance of precipitation, we will be steaming as our forecast high for the day is sitting around the high-80s. With no real cloud cover expected, our UV index will be high as well, so if you’re hoping to spend any time outdoors today please make sure to take along some sunblock!

Yeah, those are some pretty steep temps. (PivotalWeather)

Lows will dip into the mid-to-high 60s after sundown, so some of us may even need to keep the fans running as we get into bed tonight. Our dew points will be a little swampy, so if you’ve got one, a dehumidifier will also work wonders to keep your interior spaces feeling a bit more comfortable. Stay hydrated!

It’s going to be feeling a bit tropical into the night tonight! (PivotalWeather)

Any Relief Soon?

Unfortunately, it looks like those smoking temperatures will be sticking around at least through Thursday evening here in WABBLES. You’ll want to be keeping some cold water and a sun hat nearby for your outdoor escapades, because sparse cloud cover and temperatures in the high-80s to low-90s are expected to hang out over the region through the end of the month. In fact, we may even see some mid-to-high 90s by Friday… so start preparing now for an incoming wave of heat!

Yeah, you’re seeing that right. Mid-to-high 90s are possible on Friday! (PivotalWeather)

Because it’s gonna be so darn hot, we can’t eliminate the chance for a random pop-up shower beginning on Wednesday and continuing throughout the week. But don’t rely on these showers to cool it down- you’re going to want to postpone any serious outdoor plans and spend your time somewhere much cooler to reduce your chances of heatstroke. Make sure those air conditioning units are working properly before the heat properly moves in!

Final Remarks

That’s all the weather we’ve got for you today, WABBLES! Please take note of our increased chances for heat-related issues this week. We would hate for you to fall ill with heat exhaustion or heatstroke! Stay hydrated, stay cool, and stay out of the sun if you can help it. We’ll be with you here every day this week to walk you through it! Until tomorrow, take care out there folks!

See ya later! (GIPHY)
