WABBLES, I hope you’re all staying cool out there as we ride this heat wave. Unfortunately, you read that title correctly and it isn’t done yet. The grill is turned all the way up and the only thing that’s cooking is some storms to close out our week. Let’s get down to business and figure out how we can continue to beat the heat.
Today’s Forecast
The heat continues today with a high in the mid to upper 90’s, that sun will be baking us outside. We are still under a heat advisory until today at 7 PM because the heat index will be in the 100’s. There is also a chance for scattered thunderstorms this afternoon. Nothing severe just some pop ups due to the heat. Temperatures will drop into the mid 70’s heading towards the evening as the humidity starts to pick up.
The Storms are Cooking
Looking at what comes as we close out the week, the storm chances pick up again. It’ll still be hot don’t get me wrong, but just some spotty storms to add either some humidity or a cool down to our day. Which one we’ll get, you’ll just have to wait to find out. Temperatures tomorrow look to be in the mid 90’s with heat indexes in the low 100’s. A pretty similar story to the days prior.
Friday doesn’t look much different, except for the temperatures look to be in the low 90’s. Make sure you keep those spotty showers and thunderstorms in your plan because they aren’t going anywhere. The temperature on Friday night looks to be around the low to mid 70’s.
Make sure you follow the heat action plan that Reagan provided in Monday’s blog. This will help you keep yourself, friends and family cool whether it’s working outside or just beating the heat. Heat can be dangerous, always check your backseat to make sure no one is left in a hot car.
