Happy Monday morning, WABBLES! As you may have already noticed, frigid temperatures have made their way back into the region, once again reminding us that winter is fast approaching. With the weekend’s rainy mess now completely moved out of the state, the associated cold front and following high pressure are on a mission to keep us incredibly cold— but dry!— through the end of the month. What does December have in store for us? And how long will these frigid temperatures last? We’ll break it down together in today’s weather blog!

Frigid but Dry to Start Final Week of November

Today’s Forecast

We’re definitely going to be feeling this wintery blast over the next few days, as the passing cold front has ensured that we stay “on ice” through Wednesday. High temperatures will only reach around 40 degrees for most of WABBLES this afternoon, and lows will dip way down below freezing after sundown, closer to the mid-20s. If you haven’t already taken care of them, cover those outdoor pipes, people! Luckily, the high pressure that has pushed in behind our frigid cold front will keep us dry until temperatures begin to warm again at the end of this week.

Less Frigid Future Ahead?

Bingo! Despite our current shot of polar air keeping things pretty chilly here over the next several days, we will have a return to high-50s temperatures by the end of this week. Unfortunately, this return of warmth also means a return of moisture, so start expecting to see some rain showers as a new warm front heads our way on Thursday. Keep those umbrellas and rain jackets handy, because you’ll likely get some use out of them to start off December! We’ll keep an eye on it, so make sure to check in with us later this week for the latest developments!

That’s about all we have for you today, WABBLES! Make sure to bundle up today, because these freezing temperatures are no joke! Take all the precautions you can to keep your home and family safe, even if that means cranking the thermostat up another few degrees. By Thursday we’ll be warmer, so you can thank us then! Until next time, make sure to stay linked up with the Twitter page and check in here for a new daily blog every morning, so you get the latest updates as they come in. See you tomorrow, folks!

Until tomorrow! (GIPHY)
