WABBLES, as we reach the middle of the week, we’ve got quite the forecast ahead of us. We’ve got days full of sun on the way as temperatures continue their climb back to glory. Let’s get down to business, folks.

Just another sunny day (Tenor).

Today’s Weather

Today is one of those suns-out, guns-out kind of days. Temperatures start to hit those summer vibes again with a high near 80 and plenty of sunshine to make your Wednesday a little bit better. You may have heard that there will be some showers in the area today, but nothing to worry about because our air is so dry they won’t make it to us. Tonight temperatures will fall to around 70 degrees, a beautiful night ahead.

Bad day? Nothing a little high pressure can’t fix (COD).

Sun for how long

We’ll continue to see clear skies heading into Thursday. Our high will once again be in the low 80’s with a light southerly wind. One thing to note is our dewpoints will be in the 40’s for most of the day, so no mugginess for us even with the warmer temperatures.

Dewpoints keep things on the dryer side while we enjoy the sun (COD).

Friday, we’re back to watching the radar. There is a cold frontal boundary to our west that will start to push into our area. That system will push moisture back into our area we could be looking at some gusty thunderstorms on Friday afternoon. The Storm Prediction Center does have the WABBLES area in a marginal risk for strong to severe storms.

Friday into Saturday’s storms rolling in (COD)

Looking at our weekend, rain looks to blend over from Friday night into Saturday morning. A ridge will start to build late on Saturday into Sunday, and temperatures don’t move all that much this weekend. Monday, we could be looking at another severe threat with a 15-29 percent risk of severe weather for WABBLES. You’ll just have to stay tuned for Friday’s blog to learn more.

A look at the severe risks ahead (SPC).
