WABBLES, it has felt like a whole different season out there this week. We’ll continue to look at some heat and some storm chances on the way. Break out the flip flops and get down into this forecast.

We’ve got some storms on the way, folks (Tenor).

Today’s Weather

The trend will continue today is the main point. We’ll continue to see temperature creep towards the 90 mark, with a gusty southwesterly wind and mostly sunny skies. Today will be pretty quiet with an occasional cloud rolling through, but that’s about all that’s in store. Tonight temperatures drop into the 70’s, it’s a beautiful night to get outside and just relax.

The heat keeps on coming today (COD).

Storms on the Horizon

Thursday just has to mess it up. WABBLES, we’ve got a 1/5 marginal risk for strong to severe storms to roll through tomorrow. We’ll start with a weakening linear system that pushes through in the first half of the day, which clears the cloud cover and allows our atmosphere to destabilize for some strong to severe storms to push through in the late afternoon and evening hours. Damaging wind gusts and hail will be our primary concern.

Possibly some strong storms tomorrow evening (COD).

Thursday’s temperatures will be limited due to the rain and the cloud cover. Temperatures will be a little cooler, sitting around the 80-degree mark. The heat will return on Friday with another ridge starting to build. Temperatures will crank back up to the upper 80’s under mostly sunny skies.

Temperatures recover on Friday ahead of the cold front Saturday (COD).

The real “cold front” will come this weekend, WABBLES. On Saturday, we’ll see a cold front push through, which may bring the potential for some strong storms. Stay tuned for Friday’s blog to catch more on the details of that. High pressure will build on the back side, and we’ll drop back down to seasonal temperatures and get out of the summer-like heat we’ve been experiencing.

Our linear system that pushes through Saturday (COD).

WABBLES, that’s the story. We just have to beat the heat today and Friday. Thursday looks to be a little cooler with some strong storms, so stay updated on our Twitter. We’ll catch you later, stay cool, and stay dry as we close out the week.

Stay classy, WABBLES (Tenor).
