Good Monday morning, WABBLES! The heat is on here in WABBLES as spring continues to give us a sneak peek at summer. This week, temperatures will remain above our April normals due to a ridge of high pressure. Let’s go ahead and break down this week’s forecast!

Today’s Forecast
We’re starting the work week breezy as morning showers make their way through parts of the region. Lingering showers are possible this afternoon, but we’ll begin to see breaks of sunshine throughout the day.

Afternoon temperatures climb back into the upper 70s and low 80s, but with dewpoints hanging around the low 60s, things are quite muggy. However, following this morning’s showers are some breezy winds that could relieve some of that heat!

We’ll remain dry for the rest of the evening, and temperatures will cool back into the low 70s and upper 60s as the sun sets.
Warm and Dry Mid-Week
Persistent southwest winds continue to pump warm air into the region, not providing much relief to our temperatures this week. The lack of persistent showers also keeps WABBLES‘ drought conditions favorable.
Tuesday morning temperatures start in the low 60s, but dry and sunny conditions allow temperatures to surge into the mid 80s by the afternoon! Breezy conditions are also expected on Tuesday as a tight pressure gradient allows faster-moving winds to funnel in.

We’ll likely remain dry on Tuesday, but with warm and moist conditions, I can’t rule out that an afternoon pop-up shower could surprise parts of WABBLES.
Wednesday looks to serve a similar meal, with mostly sunny skies and highs hanging around the mid to high 80s. Again, a pop-up shower or two is possible, but don’t count on anything to replenish the garden just yet.

By late Wednesday night and into Thursday morning, though, an upper-level disturbance helps kick off some more showers and storms across the region. These showers are expected to be more widespread and organized, helping alleviate WABBLES‘ drought conditions a bit.

Lighter showers will continue to develop on and off throughout the day on Thursday, keeping afternoon temperatures a bit cooler in the upper 70s to low 80s.
A front is expected to move in on Thursday night, sweeping out the rain chances. By Friday, the upper-level ridge is back, and dry and sunny conditions help temperatures surge back into the mid 80s!
So stay cool out there this week, WABBLES! As always, remember to stay weather aware during spring’s ever-changing weather. You can follow us on all social media platforms to stay up to date with the current weather!
