Good Monday morning, WABBLES! I hope you had an amazing Easter weekend after last week’s humid and rainy weather. This week sounds like a broken record as we are taking a break from the typical Kentucky activity, and spring begins to mellow out!

Today’s Forecast

We’re starting the morning off quite chilly with morning lows in the upper 30s and a Frost Advisory that remains in place for all of WABBLES until 8 am. Fear not, though, as sunshine increases, we’ll quickly warm back up with afternoon highs in the mid-60s.

The good news is, dewpoints have plummeted back to a pleasant level, as most of our moisture was swept out by the weekend front. However, another weak front is expected to push into the region today, making for a breezy, cool afternoon.

WABBLES looks to stay dry, though, as this front won’t have enough “oomph” or moisture for rain showers to develop. Heading into the evening, winds begin to calm, and temperatures cool back into the 50s.

High Pressure for Days

You know the drill, WABBLES; when high-pressure calls, pleasant weather comes. High pressure begins to build for a stretch of days that is perfect for tackling those outdoor spring chores this week.

By Tuesday morning, lows are back in the upper 40s before quickly warming into the upper 50s to low 60s by the afternoon. Partly sunny skies and calming winds keep things quiet in WABBLES, making for another pleasant day.

Tuesday evening remains chilly, with temperatures dipping back into the upper 40s before settling in the low 40s overnight.

Southerly winds return on Wednesday, helping high temperatures climb back into the low 70s. High pressure still holds strong, but begins to move out of the region throughout Wednesday night.

Another pesky front tries to move into the region on Thursday, but is expected to stall out just northwest of WABBLES. This places in the warm sector once again, with southerly winds continuing to warm afternoon temperatures into the mid-70s.

We’ll continue to remain dry until the weekend, when we could potentially break the calm streak. Rain showers could develop on Friday and Saturday as we continue to warm up. We’ll continue to watch this system, but for now, enjoy the calm and beautiful week!
