I know we were all tired of winter and we all had hope that spring would be on the way. WABBLES, for now at least I can say it is here and not just because of the temperatures. Mother Nature has decided that if we’re getting spring, we’re getting the whole nine yards. Pull out the shorts and the umbrellas we’ve got a forecast to get to.

Today’s Weather
We won’t be spared from the rain today even though the boundary stays well to our north. We’ll start our day off with some light rain showers that move in towards the early morning hours. These will hang around through the early afternoon before becoming cloudy. Our high for today definitely looking like spring is here with us hitting the mid 70’s.

Tonight, we’re going to see some rain and possibly thunderstorms moving in going into our evening hours. This chance for thunderstorms will continue through the overnight into tomorrow morning none of these storms look to have a severe threat to them at this time.
Spring Shows Full Colors
Tomorrow, we start our day out right with morning thunderstorms. These will continue throughout the day becoming more scattered. Our high for tomorrow will be near the low 70’s with lots of cloud cover in between the rain showers. Thunderstorms will continue until around midnight heading into Friday.

WABBLES, we some glorious sunshine back by Friday with things clearing up for a day. Temperatures look to be in the upper 70’s maybe even pushing 80. If that’s not spring calling our name, then I don’t know what that could be. I would enjoy it while you can because looking at our weekend I see some more rain in our forecast.

With springtime and storms comes severe weather season WABBLES, and this week is Kentucky Severe Weather Awareness Week. While all of the severe weather this week is concentrated to our north and over the Great Plains, it’s still important to be prepared.

Today’s topic in specific is warning reception. You want to have multiple ways of receiving warnings and way to stay weather aware leading up to an event. Staying updated through our social media or a NOAA weather radio to make sure you stay weather aware even when you’re sleeping. There will be a statewide tornado drill today at 9:07AM, there is no threat for severe weather, this is just a test.

WABBLES, that’s all I’ve got for you today. Stay weather aware and take in this spring weather we’re having. Even though we must endure some cloudy rain/stormy days ahead the sunshine is on the way. Stay dry the rest of the week and have a great day.
