Today’s Forecast

WABBLES is starting the day on the soggy side as widespread showers move through the region. These showers continue throughout the late morning before tapering off to scattered light showers by the afternoon.

This consistent rainfall keeps our temperatures quite cool today, with highs in the upper 40s to low 50s. While the light showers trickle out through the evening, plenty of cloud cover remains, keeping evening temperatures in the low 40s.

Warming Up the Week

As a stubborn high-pressure system is set to sit off the east coast for a few days, persistent southwest winds continue to flow into the WABBLES region. This means WABBLES will be receiving plenty of warm, moist air to help warm us up and fuel more rain showers.

By Tuesday morning, another round of scattered showers is expected to move through the region. Breezy conditions take over in the afternoon, and Tuesday’s high temperatures will be back on the rise with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s.

Tuesday evening looks to remain dry, and temperatures cool into the low 60s before settling back in the mid 50s overnight.

By Wednesday, a chance of showers remains in the forecast as a northern boundary continues to allow rain systems to ride across Kentucky. Southwest winds allow temperatures to gradually warm with highs reaching into the mid 70s Wednesday afternoon!

Don’t be surprised to hear a couple of rumbles of thunder early Thursday morning into the afternoon as another low-pressure system brings a line of scattered showers through the region.

Looking into the weekend and next week, the pattern remains steady as southwest winds continue to pump warm, moist air into the region. The Climate Prediction Center’s 6-10 day outlook highlights WABBLES in above average temperatures and precipitation. Bring it on, spring!
