Ahh yes WABBLES, I’m sure we’re all basking in the sunshine and warming temperatures. Temperatures will continue to rise but that comes with the price of some storms. That’s right folks we can only get so much from Mother Nature before she sits us down and reminds us of what month we truly are in. Without delay let’s get right into this forecast.

Todays Forecast
Today temperatures continue their climb up, with our high today reaching the upper 60’s by the afternoon. We may see some light rain showers in the morning due to warm air advecting into the area, by the afternoon we become mostly cloudy. One thing you may notice today is our rising dewpoints, these dewpoints will climb into the upper 50’s. This will start to build the warm sector heading into Thursday’s storm threat.

Storms Back in the forecast
I know you’ve all been watching and waiting for tomorrow’s severe forecast, and don’t worry we will get into that. Firstly, let’s talk about what sets us up for a severe weather day tomorrow. Looking at our temperatures, we see that we will reach the low 70’s by tomorrow afternoon with dew points in the upper 50’s to low 60’s. We’ll start our day off with partly sunny skies as well.

Looking at the threat for tomorrow, here’s what we know. WABBLES is currently in a 1/5 marginal risk for strong to severe storms tomorrow. All threats are possible; however, our biggest threat is damaging wind gusts. An Isolated tornado or hail threat is possible, but these are conditional based on the lack of instability we are seeing for tomorrow, hence called a “low cape, high shear” environment. Timing looks to be late afternoon and evening hours.

After the storms we all know what comes, the sad unfortunate cold front. While temperatures don’t crash and burn, we do end up back in the upper 50’s by Friday. The sun will return as we become mostly sunny for our Friday.
If this spring weather is too much for you don’t worry. It’s looking like temperatures will cool down even more by early next week. Stay tuned for Friday’s blog to catch more on how far our temperatures will drop.

WABBLES, that’s all I’ve got for you today. Make sure you stay weather aware tomorrow, even though it is a conditional environment the conditions can change quickly. Follow us on social media to ensure you always have the latest and greatest information. We’ll see you on the other side.
