WABBLES, I hope you enjoyed the quiet warm weather we’ve had over the last few days. While the warmer weather sticks around for a few more days Mother Nature has decided to throw some spice into our life. It wouldn’t be Kentucky winter without some storms, heavy rain and temperatures bottoming out at the end of it all.

Today’s Weather

For your Wednesday we’ll start the day out with some areas of patchy fog, but then we get some nice weather. With some high pressure our temperatures will get into the upper 50’s for today and mostly sunny skies. You’re going to want to get out there and enjoy it before Mother Nature decided she’s throwing hands again with all the fun weather she brings.

Thursday is when it all comes together, WABBLES. Tomorrow we’ll see a low pressure move across the Midwest and leave us in the warm side of the table. Temperatures tomorrow will reach the mid to upper 60’s but then comes the wind gusts. Our old friend with gusts between 20-25mph. Then the rain picks up, and we’ll see a chance for scattered showers in the afternoon.

Thursday night we’ll see our first chance for storms; we are not under any current severe threat for Thursday night. We will still see a risk for wind gusts upwards of 30mph.

Friday things stay on the busy side of things we’ll see a chance for rain all day with the possibility of a rumble of thunder. We are currently under a marginal 1/5 risk for Friday. The sever threat looks to currently be for Friday evening with the biggest threats being wind but stay tuned for Friday’s blog as we continue to get updates on how this will unfold.

Rain will continue into the weekend until we see a cold front pass through. By Sunday morning, we’ll have seen 1-2 inches of rain for most places in WABBLES. With the cold front passing through our temperatures will drop out from under us as we drop back into the 30’s
