Good Monday morning, WABBLES! Thanksgiving week is finally here, and we are kicking it off with a rather warm and soggy start. However, Mother Nature is cooking us up a beautiful dish of cool, crisp, and calm weather just in time for the holiday. Let’s go ahead and dive into the details of this week!

Today’s Forecast
With WABBLES still under a Dense Fog Advisory until 10 AM, be sure to take it easy on the morning commute. Southerly winds keep our high temperatures warm as they climb back into the upper 50s to lower 60s. While WABBLES stays dry early in the day, expect skies to remain mostly cloudy.

Heading into the late afternoon and evening, rain chances begin to increase as another system moves into the WABBLES region. Our severe risk remains low, but we still expect some widespread moderate showers, rumbles of thunder, and gusty winds.

Cooling down for the Holiday
This system will continue to produce rain across the region throughout the early morning hours on Tuesday. Our first front of the week will help kick off a more organized line of showers and storms on Tuesday morning. Our severe threat remains low, but these storms will contain isolated heavy downpours and thunder.

Temperatures climb even higher into the low to mid 60s across the WABBLES region. The remnants of this system leave some lighter showers across WABBLES on Tuesday afternoon and evening. Overnight lows on Tuesday only cool down into the upper 50s.

As winds shift northwesterly, skies begin to clear and temperatures begin to slowly cool. A secondary and stronger cold front is set to push into the region early Wednesday morning, which will stomp out those warm temperatures and cut off our moisture. This front will pick up the pace of our next cool down and limit high temperatures to the upper 40s on Wednesday.

As for Thanksgiving itself, we’re looking at a rather beautiful but chilly day. Morning temperatures start out in the upper 20s to lower 30s, before warming up into the 40s with mostly sunny skies. Whether you’re traveling or hanging out with the family, the weather looks picture-perfect for the holiday!

Keep those umbrellas close for now, then pull out those winter coats again as we ride this week’s weather rollercoaster.
