Good Monday morning, WABBLES! After a rather calm weekend, we’re welcoming back some activity to the WABBLES region. We start the work week pleasantly with some mostly sunny skies before showers and storms creep back into the region mid-week.

Today’s Forecast
We are starting our Monday a bit cooler with morning temperatures in the mid to upper 30s. Unlike the warm weekend, high temperatures hang around the upper 50s to lower 60s. As we are still being influenced by a high-pressure system, skies remain mostly sunny with light winds from the southeast.

As the sun begins to set this evening, temperatures cool back into the lower 50s. Clouds begin to increase overnight, with lows only falling into the mid to upper 40s.
Rainy Days return to WABBLES
Rain chances begin to increase late Monday night and into Tuesday morning as another system is set to push through the region. A warm front from the south brings in an influx of moisture into the region, raising dewpoints back into the 50s. With this added moisture, spotty rain showers will develop in the early morning hours on Tuesday and will continue throughout the afternoon.

This system won’t be anything too severe, but expect some rumbles of thunder, gusty winds, and about half an inch of rain. These showers will keep high temperatures in the lower 60s on Tuesday, with overnight lows in the mid-50s. Rainfall will begin to taper off in the late evening hours, but clouds will remain overcast overnight.

Heading into Wednesday, we catch a break from the rain, but skies remain gloomy. Moisture will still be in the air, and dewpoints will settle in the 50s once again. High temperatures warm back into the lower 60s with a calm breeze from the west.
Another warm front is set to move in from the south again, sneaking another system into the WABBLES region Thursday morning. With this system, multiple rounds of light to moderate showers will move through the region, along with some thunder and gusty winds.

This system will linger over WABBLES until the weekend, making for a gloomy fall-like end to the week.
So enjoy the calm weather this beautiful Monday, as things are about to get gloomy. As always, remember to stay weather aware as we continue to transition through the fall weather.
