I hope you’re all keeping dry out there WABBLES! I unfortunately have to tell you you’re going to want to keep that umbrella handy for a couple more days. On a brighter note, we finally get to cool back into the 70’s even. With that how long does this round stick around, to find out must stick around.

today’s Weather
I hate to break it to you but keep that rain jacket ready. Drive carefully this morning as rain will fill the I-65 corridor and we will see this rain all day today. We are under a marginal 1/5 risk today for damaging wind gusts. Our high today however will be in the low 80’s as we start to feel a little cooler, however it will be muggy out there. Temperatures will drop into the 70’s heading into tonight.

How long does this cool down last
We will for sure be seeing them tomorrow as our high will drop to the upper 70’s. Rain will be more widespread in the morning becoming more scattered heading into the evening. Temperatures will drop into the upper 50’s as the cold front works its way through.

Friday our high will be around the same, near 80. We may see a scattered thunderstorm or two on Friday as this cold front didn’t wipe out all of our moisture. However, Friday night looks clear, and temperatures will drop into the upper 50’s, and we set up for a beautiful weekend.

While we are now in fall these cool temperatures in the 70’s must leave us once again. We will see another ridging pattern setting up this weekend and heading into next week’s temperatures will climb back up above average. The Climate Prediction Center has us at above average temperatures and near normal on precipitation as we dry out again heading into next week.

WABBLES bear with the rain for today and tomorrow, but I promise it gets better. Keep that umbrella handy and make sure you pay attention to our Twitter for any changes to or updates to the forecast. Stay dry out there folks and enjoy the cooler temperatures, peace out!
