Good Monday morning, WABBLES! We are welcoming the official fall today with some more agreeable temperatures, but not so clear skies. Conditions have become more unsettled in the upper atmosphere, resulting in some active weather this week. The good news is that we are finally putting an end to this broken-record-like dry pattern. However, for today, Tuesday, and Wednesday, WABBLES remains under a marginal risk for severe weather.

Today’s Forecast

Parts of WABBLES are waking up to some remnants of last night’s showers, which surely won’t be the last for today. With more showers creeping in through the mid-morning and afternoon, temperatures remain cooler today. Highs only reach into the upper 70s to lower 80s today.

If you have lunch or dinner plans, you might want to keep those umbrellas with you. Another band of showers and storms will move into the region around lunchtime, followed by yet another round near dinner. These storms today may contain heavy rain, gusty winds, and some small hail.

Overnight, rain chances become more scattered as the previous rounds taper off to the east. Low temperatures are expected to drop back into the mid-60s,

Unsettled Pattern Continues

As mentioned before, WABBLES is under another marginal risk for severe weather on Tuesday, as more disturbances continue to work through the region this week. As multiple showers and storms move through the region, temperatures remain cooler on Tuesday with highs hanging around the mid to upper 70s.

As we continue through the week, multiple rounds of rain and storms continue to move into the WABBLES region on Wednesday and Thursday. This rain will keep our temperatures cooler than they have been, as we gradually come to a more fall-like weather pattern again.

As a cut-off low continues to push off to the northeast, it will drag a front into the WABBLES region on Thursday afternoon, sweeping out a bit of moisture. It won’t be enough to give us that perfect fall-feel just yet, but it does calm our active weather pattern into a more pleasant and mostly sunny weekend.

It’s one of those weeks where you want to keep an umbrella on hand, as we’re looking at a pretty rainy and wet next few days. As always, it is important to remain weather-aware, especially on active days like these. You can follow us on social media to stay updated with the current weather. That is about all from me for now; until next time!

See ya! (Giphy)
