Good Monday morning, WABBLES! After a dreary start to the weekend, we finished with beautiful skies and cooler temperatures. Fortunately, this immaculate weather is sticking around, but summer-like temperatures will try to make an appearance as we go through the week.

Today’s Forecast
We’re looking at another beautiful day in WABBLES today. High pressure from Canada has already begun to settle across the region, keeping skies calm and dry. High temperatures rise into the mid to upper 70s today, and that fall-like weather attempts to stick around as dewpoints stay fairly low.

Skies remain mostly sunny, and a nice breeze from the northeast also helps keep us cool and dry. Rain chances remain limited, a trend we’ll unfortunately see this week. Overnight lows quickly drop back into the lower 50s, another chilly night across WABBLES.
Back to Summertime
Go ahead and put Monday’s forecast on repeat, because this lovely weather isn’t going away anytime soon. Tuesday starts with another chilly morning with temperatures in the upper 40s to mid-50s. Tuesday’s high temperatures are set to climb back into the upper 70s to low 80s, with overnight lows dipping back into the 50s. Skies remain mostly sunny throughout the day, with a gentle breeze from the south.

As we continue through the week, an upper-level ridge begins to move in. We’ll keep our clear and sunny weather, but we’re welcoming back those warmer temperatures as more southerly winds enter the region. Summer is throwing its last few punches at us with highs climbing back into the high 80s and even peeking into the 90s by the end of the week.

If you know Kentucky, though, this warm-up is completely normal as September likes to fight back that fall-like weather. However, since we are staying quite dry this week, our precipitation outlook is not too favorable. The Climate Prediction Center has the WABBLES region in the below-average category heading into the weekend.

It’s one of those weeks when you want to keep both a pair of sunglasses and a jacket nearby, as afternoons stay warm and nights are cool. Summer is not done with us quite yet, but fall is knocking on the door! Even though it’s a fairly quiet week, remember to always stay weather-aware.
