It’s Wednesday folks and Mother Nature’s having an identity crisis as we continue into September. WABBLES while you figure out how to dress for this weather, Kentucky’s trying to figure out what season we’re in. Let’s break down this problem child forecast and make sure you’re prepared as we close out our week.

Today’s Weather

Waking up this morning you may see some patchy areas of fog, so just be cautious as you head out the door. Looking at a high in the mid to upper 80’s, warmer than what we saw yesterday. It looks like we’re going to be able to hold off on the thunderstorms until this evening.

Bipolar Kentucky Weather

You may say “low 80’s to mid 80’s is nothing crazy”, but what if we immediately dropped into the upper 70’s for a high on Thursday. With this we can’t rule out a thunderstorm or two in the morning as this cooler weather rolls back into town. Some parts of WABBLES are in a 1/5 marginal risk for damaging wind gusts, so just be aware. Temperatures even look to drop as low as the upper 50’s heading into Friday.

Friday, we get all sorts of wild, normal weather has left the building and we must burn the outfit we have picked. We crank the high up to the low 90’s and sunny. That’s right, I even wondered if the models had officially lost it. We aren’t done either, a cold front come right back through WABBLES heading into the weekend.

Looking at our month of September as we head into fall, we see we’re going to remain around average which is 82 degrees for Bowling Green. Over the next few days, we miss that mark on every level, but the Climate Prediction Center says we may get a little closer to average throughout the month.
