Good Monday morning, WABBLES! After an excruciatingly hot week, we are in store for a much-needed “cooldown.” We are finally moving out of that upper-level ridge that was keeping us with the heat, and will transition into a more northwesterly flow. A cold front will also push into the region this week, bringing more comfortable conditions to WABBLES. We’ll get more into the details in this blog, so let’s dive in!

Today’s Forecast
However, we have one more day of temperatures peeking into the 90s before we get that so-called cooldown. Scattered rainstorms are likely this afternoon, as we start to heat up again. A couple of these spotty storms could contain gusty winds and heavy rain, but nothing too severe.

As we head into the overnight hours, these storms could still hang around before moving out through the night. Temperatures will fall back into the lower 70s, a frequent pattern we have been seeing.

A look at the rest of the week
With a cold front moving in early Tuesday morning, temperatures will start to drop into the mid to upper 80s. Heat indices also won’t be as miserable compared to the prior week, as dewpoints will also begin to lower. Spotty showers will still pop on Tuesday along that front, but starting Wednesday, we’ll begin to see more sunny skies.

Some high pressure will start to settle in the WABBLES region, keeping the skies tame and dry. Of course, this relief won’t last too long. By the Fourth of July weekend, we’ll start to warm back into the 90s range, making for some great pool weather!

As always, it is important to stay weather aware through the active weather season. You can follow our social media to stay up to date with the current weather. Stay cool out there, WABBLES, and enjoy the slightly cooler week!
