WABBLES, get ready for a change in the comfortable weather pattern we’ve been experiencing, with stormy skies ahead. Thanks to an ongoing storm complex over Missouri and Illinois this morning, we’ll experience increasing clouds and a chance for isolated showers, especially this afternoon.

Otherwise, it should be quite nice, with comfortable temps holding in the low 80s, with torrid humidity remaining at bay as well. All of that will soon change, however…

Late tonight through Thursday, an active pattern is expected to take shape, bringing multiple rounds of showers and storms to the WABBLES community. This forecast is like trying to solve a complex puzzle, as model guidance isn’t in exact agreement. The back building/training of storms could lead to copious amounts of the wet stuff. Scattered Storms and Rising Temperatures

Friday through the weekend, scattered shower and storm chances will continue, unfortunately. The best chances after tonight/Thursday will be Friday, so hopefully we keep luck on our side for the weekend. Here’s our local NWS office forecast for rain through Friday:
