Today’s Forecast

We’ve got a fairly pleasant Monday ahead here across WABBLES, after the noisy line of storms that worked its way through the region last night! Bright sunshine and blue skies will give way to high temperatures in the mid-60s for most everyone this afternoon. Though it’s nice to finally have a calm, clear day with no strings attached, we are keeping an eye out for some light scattered showers that could drift in out of the northwest just before dawn overnight into Tuesday morning; not enough to disrupt anyone’s schedule, but enough to wet the ground before you get up and going for your work day.

So… Finally Calm for a While?

Ehh… kind of! Once those scattered showers clear up Tuesday morning, we’re expecting Tuesday through Thursday to stay relaxed and comfortable. We’ll continue to see those high temperatures in the mid-60s through the end of the week, which is a definite step-up from the chillier conditions of last week. But the next opportunity for rainy weather will return Thursday evening, as another system from the northwest moves in and lingers through early Friday morning.

And the rain train doesn’t stop there! We’re in for an active weekend after our more relaxed final week of March, because our next big weather-maker looks to steamroll its way into WABBLES Saturday night into Sunday morning. The Storm Prediction Center has put out a massive Day 7 severe risk outlook for this system, which will definitely get pared down a bit as we get closer to time, but it’s just another indicator of how storm season is now in full swing, folks!
