Good Monday morning, WABBLES gang! Our first forecast of the week is sure to delight, as we’ll be expecting comfortable summer temperatures and gorgeous sun across the board. As we wrap up September and slowly creep our way into the fall months, pleasant days like today will come less often— so if you can, get out there and enjoy it. We’ll break it all down for you in today’s weather blog!
Today’s Forecast
The big headline today will of course be the delightful sunny conditions expected alongside pleasant temps. Most of us WABBLES folk will stay comfortable in the high-70s to low-80s through the afternoon’s peak heating hours, and once the sun goes down will be pleased to see those low-50s make their return to the region.
Low dew point temperatures in the Ohio Valley will keep us from feeling tropical while also warding off any possible precipitation for the next several days, so clear skies and comfortable warmth will remain the story through the end of the week. Though she’s likely got a bit more juice left in her, summer is definitely on her way out!
So We’re Staying Comfortable?
That’s the plan! With no large upper-air disturbances forecast to enter (or exit!) the WABBLES area over the next 5 days, it’s likely that the only change in weather we’ll experience here in Southern Kentucky is a gradual increase in temperature through Friday. Our highs and lows will recover some heat as a small area of high pressure builds off to our west, defending us from any incoming troughs that could carry in some precipitation chances.
That’s really all we have for you today, fam! Short blogs are win-win scenarios for everybody, because we get to do less work and y’all get more time out there enjoying the great weather. So if you’ve got some time to spare this week, get outside and have some fun with it! And if you want, snap some pics of your summer send-off outings and send them over to the WXornotBG Twitter page, because we absolutely love seeing them.
Until tomorrow, take care WABBLES!
