Good Monday morning, WABBLES! We have what might be the perfect forecast for you to sink your teeth into this week, as October has begun and fall has followed close behind! Bright sunny skies, calm winds, and comfortable temperatures are on the menu for our second week of October, and we’re expecting the trend to continue as we head into mid-month. Will we really start to feel more fall-like? And when will precipitation return? We’re going through it all together in today’s weather blog!
Today’s Forecast
We’re starting off our perfect forecast by marking down a wonderful Monday in the books! High temperatures will linger around the mid-70s for everyone today after a calm cold front pushed its way through the region this morning, and high pressure behind the front has lined us up for a sunny afternoon paired with a calm north breeze. In addition, low temperatures will fall into the mid-40s tonight for the first time in a while, so if you’ve been waiting to get some extra bedding out for the colder months, this may be your chance!
How Long Does Perfect Last?
Good question! And while I don’t have an exact answer, I can tell you that we’re expecting cooler weather and dry conditions to last a pretty good chunk of October for us WABBLES folks. We’re locked into an upper-level weather pattern that will keep us calm and dry at least through the end of this week, as surface high pressure will sit over our area and ward off any potential precipitating weather until another large-scale low pressure system can push into the region. The Climate Prediction Center is seeing similar signals, as WABBLES has been included in a much drier than normal precipitation outlook over the next 6-to-10 days.
That’s about all we’ve got for you, WABBLES! Definitely some good news in the wake of some of the more chaotic weather we’ve seen over the last several weeks. If you’ve been meaning to dive into those fall festivities now that October’s underway, you won’t find a more perfect time to go pick those pumpkins and brew up that apple cider! Of course, we’ll be keeping you in the loop both here on the blog and also on our Twitter page, where we post frequent real-time updates on the WABBLES weather forecast as things change. Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a wonderful week, y’all!
