Good morning, WABBLES! After an exhausting weekend, the active pattern has finally let up in the region. However, we are still left with the remnants, as the entirety of WABBLES is still under a flash flood warning until 11 a.m. this morning. This week is expected to be much calmer, with cooler temperatures and a mild mid-week disturbance. But without further ado, let’s dive into the details of this week!

Let’s get into it! (Giphy)
TODAYS FORECAST
The systems that moved through this past week left us with quite a bit of cooler air. Today is starting out chilly, with some of WABBLES seeing low temperatures that dip into the low 30s! We’re looking at clear and calm skies today as another high-pressure system moves in. Highs will mainly stay in the mid-40s across the area as this system will bring in some northernly winds to help keep it cool.

A chilly start to the morning. (Pivotal Weather)
HOW LONG DOES THIS CALM LAST?
Not long, of course. Just when temperatures warm back into the 60s on Wednesday, a clipper system will move in from the northwest and bring some rain to the region late Wednesday night that will cool us back down. Rain totals will vary across WABBLES from 0.3 inches to 0.5 inches, locally more. This will be nothing like the historic rainfall we just experienced, but it could add additional water to the areas that may still be flooded.

Some more rain will creep into the WABBLES region Wednesday night (Pivotal Weather)
This system will be quicker than the last one and will begin to move out Thursday night. It will try to produce more rain Friday afternoon before finally exiting the region. Once this rain pushes through, we’ll see temperatures lower once again, with highs in the 50s.

Cooler temperautes will return to start out the weekend (Pivotal Weather)

Try to stay warm out there on this chilly Tuesday, WABBLES, and remember to take it easy on the roads, as some are still flooded over. Turn around; don’t drown!

Until next time.. (Giphy)
