Good morning, WABBLES! I hope you enjoyed yesterday’s calm weather in comparison to the stormy weekend. More sunny and comfortable temperatures are on the menu for this week! Other than the occasional rain shower later in the week, WABBLES is looking at another calm week before another storm system tries to push in this weekend. We will get into the details more in today’s blog, so let’s dive in!

Let’s dig in! (Giphy)
TODAYS FORECAST
Some of WABBLES woke up to some light rain this morning as a few showers trickled in. As this rain moves eastward, the skies will begin to clear in preparation for another pleasant day across WABBLES! Temperatures will reach back into the mid-60s today accompanied by a nice breeze from the west. Temperatures tonight will dip back down into the lower 40s and upper 30s; another chilly night across the region.

DOES THIS PLEASANT WEATHER LAST?
Well, you can’t have a Kentucky spring without some sort of interruption to our sunny weather. We will continue to see warm temperatures and mostly sunny skies for Wednesday and Thursday as a high-pressure system begins to settle over WABBLES. Beginning Thursday night, however, the chance of some rainfall will increase, as a wave of precipitation moves into the area.

Once this rain pushes through, we’ll see temperatures climb back into the 70s by the end of the week! With that being said, these warm temperatures are fuel for another potentially active weekend. Another low-pressure system will develop over the Great Plains and bring a couple of lines of storms into WABBLES on Saturday and Sunday. The first round will push through with some rain Saturday night, then a stronger line will move in Sunday night into Monday morning.

As of now, the Storm Prediction Center has a large area under a 15% chance for severe weather this weekend. As we continue through the week, the details of this storm will become more clear, but for now, we will continue to monitor and provide more information in the upcoming blogs! So, stay tuned!
