The snow and cold that was mentioned in yesterday’s blog is here, and for many there’s no school today. Winter is back and is upon us here in WABBLES and we are once again white outside. While are still under a Winter Storm Warning until 11:00am this morning, the snow totals have for most of us ceased. But that’s not all the fun we have for you; we’ve got cold weather on the way as well. Stay in bed curl up with our blog as we have all the news for you.

Today’s Winter Weather

Here’s today’s story several of you did your snow day rituals and have a snow day or other forms of at home days today. Many reports have come in from last night and most of WABBLES is in that 3–6-inch range. If you’re late to the show and want to see if your school made the cut check here. If you don’t have to travel today, I recommend you stay at home because it is snow covered and cold out there.

With a true high you will actually experience in the upper teens to the low 20’s and some frigid wind chills in the single digits. We may accumulate a very small amount with some overnight flurries tonight. With a couple flurries possible out there and the frigid temperatures that’s the name of the game right now.

Cold, Cold, Cold

That’s the best way to put it folks, winter is here for another wrath. As a Cold Weather Advisory takes into effect at midnight on Thursday. Basically, if thought today was cold just you wait. That cold air continues to dive its way south and we will see highs on Thursday in the teens and wind chills in the single digits. Get that snow day ritual ready and hope for possibly another day off.

If you do have to go outside today or Thursday in these frigid temperatures. Firstly, drive safe as always especially today. Secondly, layer up and dress appropriately. These temperatures can get dangerous fast with these wind chills.

Frigid cold but then we see the rebound (COD)

Friday, we see the return with the temperatures climbing back up and this is a trend that occurs over the next few days. We will reach closer to average temperatures heading into next week. This will come with the cost of a possibility of a rain shower on Saturday.

WABBLES, you know the name of the game out there drive safe and stay warm. Driving conditions may be dangerous out there especially as we recover from the flooding seen earlier this week. Winter is back for just a quick reminder of what she truly has to offer. Layer up and enjoy this wonderful day off and stay up with our Twitter for all the news updates. Peace out, WABBLES.
