WABBLES, we made it through the freezing temperatures. The sun is out, and the relief is here, and were about to see the warmth commence. All good things must have a catch and for us that’s some rain for our weekend. WABBLES shed a layer and get ready to get that winter tan going. As we enjoy all this great weather lets dive into what’s ahead.

WednESDAY Weather

The warm weather plateau continues as our temperatures will feel similar to yesterday in the mid 50’s. As a ridging pattern sets up and the polar jet stream stays well north of us. You know what this pattern means WABBLES, that’s right the sun is out there shining.

Even our mornings are starting to feel this uptick in temperatures. As you go off to work or school this morning, you’ll notice it’s chilly out there but a little warmer than the past few days. Now it may be a breezier out there into the mid-morning with some gust pushing towards the upper teens.

For tonight if you have any plans or hot dates you may want to grab that extra layer. Once that sun goes down there’s nothing stopping those temperatures from dropping in the low 40’s and upper 30’s.

Rainy SetUp

I hope you’ve enjoyed the sunshine WABBLES, because with warmer weather comes the rain. That’s exactly what we’ve got on the menu for you for the days to come. However, we’re not done with the warmer temperatures quite yet, so don’t get your hopes up.

Tomorow morning between 9 and 11 am WABBLES will start to see these showers rolling in. These won’t just be some scattered showers, especially heading into tomorrow night we could see heavier accumulation in some localized areas. Make sure to keep that umbrella on standby.

Tomorrows high will also be in the mid 50’s with this rain temperatures may feel a bit cooler tomorrow. Tomorrow night will be when we see the highest accumulation amounts. While models are trending lower than an inch of rain some lower lying areas may see higher amounts. Temperatures will be in the upper 40’s.

Big rain maker works its way towards the area tomorrow and into Friday (COD)

Friday will look a bit different, our temperatures warm into the low 60’s and rain looks to exit our region towards the morning hours. Don’t be surprised if a pop-up shower or two occurs into the middle afternoon hours. Once that rain clears out, we are looking at some possible sunshine.

After this disturbance and rain pass us, we start to look at another pattern of stable weather. Our temperatures look to fluctuate a little over the weekend but still trend towards a warmer pattern. The Climate Prediction Center is also confirming this idea of a warmer pattern to come.

Good news folks, the warm weather is giving us a little more time to enjoy it (CPC)

Alright folks, you know how it goes we get blessed with some sunshine and warmer weather and on the flip side we have to deal with some rain. As the models start to agree better on the timing and amounts of rain, we will make sure to keep you updated on Twitter. Don’t get caught out there without an umbrella and make sure you enjoy these warmer temperatures and sunshine as we bring on February this weekend. Stay dry out there and till next time.
