Merry Christmas WABBLES, I hope you woke up to so many presents this morning. The one thing we won’t be waking up to is a white Christmas. It’ll be greener out there and maybe even on the radar as well. Get nestled up this morning and enjoy the silence before the kids wake up. We’ll have your holiday forecast all wrapped up for you this morning in today’s blog.
Christmas Forecast
Early on this Christmas morning we see those showers move in especially in the northern portion of WABBLES. All of us though can expect to see a scattered shower or two throughout the day. As Sam Taylor pointed out on Monday, we will see plenty of green on our radar today.
Another Christmas gift to add under your tree is the warming trend we are on. Our high today will be a little warmer than yesterday getting up towards the high 50’s. This is a pattern we will continue to see moving through the week.
We’ll reach those upper 50’s between the early and midafternoon hours tomorrow. As the sunsets temperatures will be more mild dropping into the upper 40’s. Don’t worry our feel like for this Christmas won’t be impacted by the scattered rain showers today.
With all that if had your money on a white Christmas, sorry not this year. Bowling Green has only had 9 white Christmas’s in last 130 years, not great odds.
What About the Holiday weekend ahead
Moving into Thursday, this warming trend will continue as the high will feel similar to yesterday in the upper 50’s. It will also be the nicest day heading into the weekend with a little bit of sunshine before we see some rain enter the weekend forecast. Thursday night the low will be in the upper 40’s before we see rain enter the area.
To start our holiday weekend Friday, the high will feel similar to the last two days. Although we see temperatures rising, we can expect to see some showers enter the forecast. These showers look to continue into the weekend. As our temperatures start to trend towards the possible lower 60’s heading into Sunday.
How do we ring in the New Year? Well, WABBLES it’ll be a warmer start to 2025. The Climate Prediction Center is showing an above average trend to kick off those New Year resolutions. It does also look to be wetter than average though so we could expect a few more days of rain heading into the next week.
WABBLES, I hope you have a Merry “green” Christmas and get all the presents you asked for. If you asked for some warmer temperatures after weeks of frigid cold, well then you get it all wrapped up with a bow and rain. Enjoy the holidays with your families and don’t get caught out in the rain, stay up to date with our Twitter for any changes. Stay safe and stay jolly WABBLES.
