On the 18th day of Christmas Santa brings to WABBLES, another cool down. That’s right folks, I hope you’ve enjoyed these days of temperatures pushing near the 60’s. We’ve got another round of cooler temperatures to get you in the holiday spirit. Zip up those raincoats, slip on those boots as we’ve got all the answers to your weather questions in today’s blog.

Make sure you’ve got those umbrellas ready this morning (Tenor)

WednESDAY Weather

Today’s weather will be the most impactful. As forecaster Sam Taylor mentioned on Monday those rain chances are back after one day of sunshine. This morning we’ll see some showers enter the area, with some rumbles of thunder, and those will clear out around 3 this afternoon. We are also under a flood watch this morning so watch the roads going towards the lunch time hours.

Once that rain pushes through and clear skies will follow the cold front (COD)

The high for today is in the low 50’s but don’t be fooled. We’ll reach this high in the mid-morning hours right before the main cold front reaches us. As this cold front pushes through into the evening hours, temperatures will drop into the low to mid 40’s.

The low for today will be right before midnight in the upper 30’s, so make sure you pack that extra layer when you go to work today. You may want to grab another layer for those cooler temperatures when you head out to get that last minute Christmas shopping done.

Cooler temperatures stick around

Well, I have some good news and some colder news, WABBLES. Starting with the good news, going through the rest of the week the sun will be shining. A stable air pattern sets up over most of the United States and our precipitation chances drop significantly over the next week.

Now the cooler news, and well as you expect it’s going to get cold here in WABBLES. Not one but two rounds of cold air are going to pay us a visit this holiday season. No more upper 50’s till at least after Christmas.

Looking at our temperatures ahead, tomorrow’s high will in the low 40’s as we begin our holiday cooling trend. On the bright side we will see that stable air pattern take over with the sun shining. Friday will be a bit cooler with a high near 40 and a few more clouds. Enjoy your last quiet days before the kids get out of school for Christmas break.

Here comes the much more cooler air as we head towards Friday (COD)

WABBLES you must’ve been on your best behavior. Santa is showing us a beautiful weekend ahead. Our high will be around 40 both days and plenty of sunshine as you go ice skating or look at the Christmas lights.

Next week we will see temperatures start to warm up more towards average. Our Christmas will be more near normal temperatures with a dryer trend. The Climate Prediction Center shows us this and this would mean the chances of not having a white Christmas stay the same.

WABBLES, I hope you have a good last few days of sanity before the holiday weekend. Stay dry today and pack that extra layer for when you get off work today. Don’t get caught out in the rain this morning and stay updated with our Twitter. Enjoy the stable but cooler weather that is to come. Have a good rest of your week and till next time.
