Wendsday Weather

While we’ve seen those frigid temperatures, and some snowfall show the true face of December. A slight warm up today will give us a chilly break. As you wake up and head out for today, you’re still going to want to bundle up as we start off in the low 30’s. However, you may be able to finally shed a layer or two as we move into the late afternoon where we might just see the low 50’s.

Sunshine will be showing its face again after a couple of cloudy days, but some gusty winds may make that windchill a little on the cooler side. Those feels like temperatures may remain in the mid 40’s as you go about your day. Moving into tonight as you make your way around town to enjoy the lights it’ll be a more reasonable mid 40’s. Tonight, also brings a small chance for light precipitation and maybe a few flurries.

Frigid Future

Now one day in the low 50’s is great, but what if I told you right behind it is some more of that cold artic air. That’s exactly what’s expected to happen while this won’t last as long as the previous one it will definitely drop those temperatures again.

Thursday’s high drops back to upper 20’s, but don’t count out those wind chills. Those winds may gust as high as 20-25 mph and our feels like temperatures will remain in the mid to upper teens throughout the day on Thursday. If you have any plans for tomorrow night you definitely want to break out those hand warmers WABBLES. As those nightly temperatures will remain in the mid-teens and a clear sky won’t provide any break from the frigid air.

However, this frigid air won’t last us long though because as we move towards the weekend, we see those temperatures start to climb and we’re looking at above average temperatures heading into the start of winter break. We finally get that break from the frigid air and the snow of December and shed those layers. The Climate Prediction Center is showing that into next week towards next weekend we will be slightly above our normal temperature here in WABBLES.
