Well, WABBLES you made it to another Wednesday. As your drying off from yesterday you may have noticed a bit of a cooling off as you made your way to work or school this morning. As we kick off our foggy morning here in WABBLES the rain has stopped, and the artic blast is here. So, grab your much needed midweek coffee and get ready for a good read as we take you through this cold weather in today’s blog.

Today’s Forecast

So, we know that the colder weather is here but just how cold are we talking about. Well as the sun shines over WABBLES our high temperature today will be in the mid to upper 50’s. That’s right above ten degrees colder than it was yesterday. However, the kicker of this colder weather is the winds tomorrow. Winds will be between 5-15 mph sustained however some gust may reach 20 mph. These will enhance our wind chill factor tomorrow and may make our high temperature feel more like the low 50’s. This cooling trend will continue into the night hours where the wind chill may be in the lower 40’s. So, if you’re making plans for tonight I personally recommend staying indoors and staying warm.

HOw long will this cooling last

Well as you enjoy Novembers chilly surprise on Wednesday, I can say that it isn’t over. Moving into Thursday we drop even cooler. With our high on Thursday sitting in the upper 40’s this artic air has come to give us a taste of winter. How about them wind chills though, winds Thursday won’t add any relief to those wind chills. Winds will be between 15-20 mph with some gusting upwards of 25 mph. These will drop our wind chills into the low to mid 30’s and possibly even in the upper 20’s heading into Thursday night. Luckily these temperatures and wind chills aren’t extremely dangerous. Be cautious of how you prepare for outdoor events on Thursday night. Wind chills at this level could cause frostbite after around 30 minutes of exposure. So, dress warm and keep yourself dry.

Now I know that many of you aren’t ready for this cold of weather especially since it was just in the 70’s. So, you may wonder what’s ahead into next week. Well, you may just be in luck to get one slighter warm up before we make our way into winter. The Climate Prediction Center is supporting this idea that we may get one more span of some warmer than average temperatures heading into the beginning of your work week next week before another cooling into late next week.

One more warm up WABBLES (PivotalWeather)

Alright WABBLES as we head into today and tomorrow these temperatures are trying to freeze us out but that’s nothing a cup of hot chocolate and good blanket can’t fix. I would recommend staying in but if you have to go out then dress warm and stay dry. Those wind chill temperatures can’t get cold really fast and can be dangerous. So, stay safe and stay warm WABBLES.
