Welcome back WABBLES! I hope you’ve enjoyed your dose of beautiful weather. Today, we get right back into the same pattern we’ve experienced the last couple of weeks. As you woke up this morning, you likely thought this pattern of blue skies was about to continue, however, you’d be wrong.
WedNESDAY Weather
It would seem today would turn out to be just like yesterday. A morning chill may have greeted you as you went to work. However, that is not the case for today’s weather.
Our high today will be in the upper 60’s around noon, before we get interrupted by some rain. That’s right. This beautiful weather will only last for so long as another cold front comes knocking.
As you head off for lunch today you may see these clouds squeeze out a few showers; you may want to take that umbrella with you, just in case. As we head throughout the day, our temperatures will cool down into the low 50’s before we feel the true effects of the cold front tomorrow.
How long will this rain last?? That’s the question as we look to the future, planning our weekend. Luckily, for us, as this cold front passes through into tomorrow afternoon, we’ll see rain (along with a stray storm or 2) start to clear out, and a ridge pattern sets in. This will provide us a cooler, beautiful weekend.
None of the activity today or tomorrow will be severe. That’s the good news. With that being said, you can’t rule out a rumble of thunder, or a few wind gusts of 20-30+ mph across WABBLES. Our rain totals through tomorrow are expected to range between 1-2″. So, endure the rain once again, and they payoff will follow, allowing us to enjoy the beautiful weather behind it.
What weather is expeCTed after this
“What’s next?” You may be asking. Well, WABBLES fall weather will be in full swing, and it’s not going anywhere. While we still may be just above seasonal average, albeit, still cool temperatures, will continue to fluctuate as we move ahead into early next week. By the middle of next week is when we may start to see our next system rolling in bringing precipitation and cooler temperatures.
The Climate Prediction Center supports this idea by showing us above average precipitation moving in a week from now. How will this affect our total rain amounts and drought conditions? While only minimal areas in WABBLES are in a moderate drought and most are abnormally dry. We may see some rain amounts that could potentially help with these conditions.
Alright WABBLES, that what we’ve got for you today. Don’t let these showers ruin your day make sure you take an umbrella or a rain jacket with you as you head out for lunch. Stay updated with us on X, and make sure you don’t get caught off guard. We want you to be as prepared as can be and to stay dry as you tackle the rest of the work week.
Enjoy the beautiful weekend we have ahead and don’t stress over the rain that we may see in the middle of next week. Stay aware, stay safe, and stay dry WABBLES! Until next time!
