Today’s Weather

As you woke up this morning you may have noticed that it was already a bit wet outside or as you were woken up by that rumble of thunder. While the heaviest rain fell before you woke up today doesn’t mean it’s over yet. Today’s high temperature will be cooler than yesterday in the low 70’s. Winds may gust upwards of 20 mph in the morning becoming calmer as we move into the afternoon hours. While there is no severe threat tomorrow, be aware of gusty winds, lightning and heavy rain. Some people in WABBLES may experience heavy constant rain throughout the day today and rain totals may exceed 1 inch by Thursday at midnight. As we move through the day your low for tonight will be in the low 60’s as that cold front moves through. Stay aware WABBLES when you go about your day today.

How long will this wet weather last

While you’re staring out the window today dreaming back the dry October we just had. You may be asking when this wet weather will stop? Well, as we move towards your weekend it’s looking like this trend will continue. As these storms and rain track through the factor driving them is the cold front that is soon to follow. Our rain chance will continue as we look towards our weekend WABBLES. Looking at Thursday, that’s when our cold front finally reaches us, and we see those cooler November temperatures. Our rain will continue through Thursday morning adding to our rainfall totals.

While we may get a break from the rainfall it will only be brief, but the rain will come again. Looking at our upper atmosphere we start to see another low-pressure system coming in for a visit this weekend. This means that the rain is back, and the Climate Prediction Center shows us this as we see a wet pattern ahead.
