Hello, WABBLES! Excessive heat and humidity continue to plague our community, however, relief is on the horizon! Prepare yourself for torrid days followed by a cool breeze to end the week on.
Today through Friday: Heat Advisories and Excessive Heat Warnings
Get ready for some hot days ahead! Heat advisories and excessive heat warnings remain in place today, lasting through Friday evening. While today will be hot, brace yourselves for even hotter, more humid conditions Thursday and Friday.
Thursday and Friday: Getting Hotter
As we roll into the final few days of the work week, be prepared to crank up the air conditioning. Thermometers are expected to hit the mid/upper 90s, with heat indices well up into the triple-digits.
Be sure to stay hydrated and find ways to stay cool during the hottest part of the day. Reapply sunscreen as necessary, and check on your friends, family and neighbors. Particularly if they are a part of the vulnerable population under these circumstances.
Saturday: Passing of a Moisture-Starved Cold Front
On Saturday, a moisture-starved cold front will make its way through the area. Imagine this front as a refreshing breeze on a hot day, offering a momentary respite. We’re definitely deserving, after the unforgiving pattern we’ve been dealing with.
While it could bring an isolated storm along with it, the vast majority of us should stay dry. It’ll remain very hot to start the weekend, however, humidity should begin to tumble by the afternoon.
Sunday into Next Week: Cooler and Less Humid
Get ready to breathe a sigh of relief on Sunday! Cooler, less humid air will filter in behind the front, bringing a refreshing change to the WABBLES community. And this cooler, more pleasant weather is set to stick around for much next week. Have a look for yourself:
In summary, WABBLES is in for a weather rollercoaster. Heat advisories and excessive heat warnings remain in place today through Friday. Saturday brings a moisture-deprived cold front through, along with the possibility of an isolated storm. Cooler, less humid air will bring relief Sunday, which will linger into next week. So, stay cool, stay hydrated, and look forward to that cool breeze that’s just around the corner! Keep up with the latest here —-> @wxornotBG!
