Heat Wave

Ok, so I know everyone out there is loving this heat wave so lets get right into it. Today will be hotter than yesterday with temperatures likely hitting around 96 degrees. To make it worse, dewpoints will be in the low 70s making the heat index reach well into the triple digits.

These are Some Crazy Values (Pivotal Weather)

This heat wave will continue well into the week and even into the start of the weekend with each day getting slightly hotter than the previous. Friday looks to be our hottest day with highs potentially hitting 100 degrees or barely higher.

There’s no good way to put this, it is going to suck and these temperatures are serious. Be safe and take precautions to prevent heat related illnesses. We want all the folks around WABBLES being safe!

NWS Heat Safety Graphic

The NWS has an Excessive Heat Warning out for all of WABBLES to highlight the severity of these temperatures. This will be in effect until Thursday Evening, so please take this seriously.

What’s Next?

So keeping in the realm of temperatures, the 6-10 day timeframe looks to bring some relief from the heat. The CPC is eyeing a good chunk of the country to experience below average temperatures, so we can at least look forward to that.
