Raindrops Keep Fallin’ on My Head

Happy first day of summer! Today through Friday, WABBLES is in for a showery, stormy ride, courtesy of an upper-level low.

Picture yourself as SpongeBob SquarePants, dancing in the rain with a smile, as daily scattered showers and storms move through the area.

It’ll be a similar experience to what we’ve had so far this week. With highs ranging from the mid 70s to low 80s, it’s a chance to enjoy some “cool” rain and show off your best rain-dance moves.

Embracing the Summer Vibes

As we move into Saturday, we’ll finally experience a taste of summer. It’ll be time to channel your inner Baywatch lifeguard and hit the beach (or pool) with a summer-like feel in the air. With temperatures climbing to around 90˚ and a sense of nostalgia, it’s the perfect opportunity to grab your shades and say, “I’m too hot to handle!”

Stormy Showdown on the Horizon

Hold onto your hats and buckle up for a stormy showdown late Sunday into early Monday. A passing cold front is set to bring potential strong and severe storm chances to the region.

It’s not set in stone, however, given the ingredients in our atmosphere, we’ll need to closely watch how this particular system unfolds. Stay weather-aware and take precautions as the storms roll in.

A Silver Lining: Drought Relief

Despite the stormy conditions, there’s a silver lining. The recent active pattern has been a blessing for the drought-stricken areas across Kentucky, including our WABBLES community.

The increase in rainfall has provided much-needed relief and a refreshing gulp of water for the thirsty land. Below is the latest rain totals from the past 48 hours. Mind you, some of us received even more prior to this.
