Winter Weather Advisory

A clipper system is diving in from the northwest this morning, bringing scattered snow bursts across the region. Temperatures remain well below freezing, with travel conditions deteriorating once again.

This has resulted in the National Weather Service issuing a Winter Weather Advisory for the entire WABBLES region until Noon today. Please be cautious if you’re heading out to travel.

Winter Weather Advisory

Despite the Advisory expiring at Noon, scattered bursts of snow look to reappear late this afternoon into this evening. The latest HRRR displays this:

HRRR valid through late this evening

Warming Up Significantly

The Kentucky Weather rollercoaster will take us on another wild ride after today. A major warming trend will see highs hit near 40˚ Tuesday, 50˚ Wednesday, and 60˚ Thursday. Unfortunately, you know what’s coming along with this…

The Gulf will be open for business, bringing numerous chances for showers and storms beginning Thursday night. The latest Euro paints a damp picture from Thursday on…

ECMWF Hi-Res valid Thursday through early next week

Again, unfortunately, this active pattern looks to continue through New Year’s Weekend and into next week as well. We’ll need to keep close eyes on things, as a few of these systems could produce storms with quite a punch.
