Very Cold Weekend

Good morning WABBLES! It is finally Friday and those skies are looking gorgeous. Do not let the sunny skies fool you though, it is going to get even colder before our next chance of fall like temperatures arrive next week stirring up a very cold weekend. With Thanksgiving headed just around the corner here is what you can expect over the next several days […]

Walking out the door this morning is not going to be fun, with that wind chill causing temperatures to feel like the lower 20s and in some places the teens! Mostly sunny skies will be help to get those temperatures in the lower 40s later this afternoon. Unfortunately, once that sun sets it is going to start to become bitterly cold this evening with most of the WABBLES region seeing a low in the teens. It is going to be a very cold weekend.

High pressure following behind a cold front that is quickly making its way into our area Friday evening will set us up for dry skies. Saturday will be mostly sunny with a high temperature around 43. If you have plans Saturday afternoon be prepared to be bundled up. Saturday night expect low temperatures in the teens once again. Sunday will bring us sunny skies again but the chance for some of the coldest weather we have seen so far this season. Temperatures are expected to dip down into the lower teens. With this very cold weekend it seems like a perfect time to turn those fireplaces on and grab that fleece blanket!

Holiday Week

Now to the fun stuff! Dry weather continues through at least mid-week as that high pressure settles into the southeast United States. Temperatures will become more moderate and closer to average for this time of year as the week goes on. By time Thanksgiving rolls around we are seeing daytime temperatures sitting in the mid-50s! There is a slight risk for rain chances on Turkey day, but we will continue to monitor that as the week progresses.

Well folks, that about sums up the next couple of days. Moral of the story, if you plan to be outside this weekend just remember to grab those heavier coats, sock hats, and gloves. It could be helpful to go to your local convenience store and buy some hot hands. Enjoy the weekend and stay warm!
