Good Monday morning, WABBLES crew! Time to kick off another stellar week weather-wise. Nothing but sunny skies and summer-like temps in the forecast for the next few days, as the start of our November continues to be unseasonably warm. But a big weekend cooldown looks to be on the way come Friday, so make sure to enjoy these pleasant temperatures while they last…
Conditions for our lovely Monday are about as good as they get this time of year! The breezy winds from this weekend have settled down quite a bit, and while we did tie our all-time November 4th high temp (80°) just a few days ago, it won’t get quite that warm this week. Today, the high will linger around 73°, with our low temperature dipping down to about 50° after the sun goes down. (And it does go down pretty early now— thanks a lot for that, Daylight Saving Time!)
Sunny Skies for the Week Ahead
The rest of this week’s forecast is quite similar to today’s, all things considered. Highs in the mid-70s and lows in the high-40s will last all the way up until Veteran’s Day this Friday, when a wave of cold air starts moving on in. In turn, no rain chances are expected through Friday, so keep an eye on your outdoor fires! I know many of the burn bans for our area have been lifted due to the rain we received this weekend, but it’s always good to make sure that we’re only setting fires when necessary in these warmer fall conditions. Piles of dry leaves are quite the fire hazard, you know!
Veterans Day Brings Chillier Air
But alas, all good things must come to an end. While Friday the 11th is a bit too far out for us to accurately forecast anything too specific, what we DO know is that the cold air is coming, and soon! We’re still unsure whether or not this incoming cold front will bring with it any substantial precipitation, but it’ll definitely be time to snatch up those heavy coats, as temperatures will start to feel much more November-like here in the WABBLES region. Start tracking down that winter gear now, folks!
Sorry, There’s a WHAT in the Atlantic?
Here’s a little something unexpected for our already nutty hurricane season! Brand-new Invest 98L has been given a 90% chance of becoming Tropical Storm Nicole and impacting our sunny eastern coast by the end of the week. Currently projected to take a hard left turn into the Florida Peninsula, soon-to-be Nicole is doing a great job at reminding folks that Hurricane Season isn’t over until November 30th, y’all! Those in and around Florida should expect Tropical Storm conditions starting around Wednesday and lasting through Friday, if our current guidance is correct. Time will tell how strong the storm will get before landfall, so we’ll be keeping an eye on it for you!
Enjoy Your Week, WABBLES!
That’ll be all from us here at WXornotBG today, friends! We do know how much y’all dearly love the nice fall temperatures, even if it’s only to keep from running up the heating bill so early in the season. Get out there and enjoy the sunny skies, because the end of the year should always be about celebration and spending time with family. As always, our social media sites are linked below, so make sure to find us on some other platforms if you’re feeling it! Other than that, have a wonderful week, and stay safe out there y’all!
