Good Saturday my friends! I hope everyone had a great Friday and are ready for a great weekend as well! As far as weather goes, the remnants of a very strong system will bring rain & wind ahead.
Last night, a severe weather outbreak took place primarily in the states of Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. Reports are very preliminary and more are possible as surveys take place, but currently 18 tornadoes were reported.
The same system that produced the severe weather, will bring the rain & wind ahead. While no severe weather is expected for us, y’all can expect to get wet.
Rain will start this morning and continue into the afternoon and evening, so I wouldn’t be planning anything outdoors around WABBLES. On top of the rain, we can expect to see wind gusts up to 35-45 mph in some spots.
With all that wind, the NWS has issued a Wind Advisory from 7am to 7pm today. It is highly recommended you secure loose items around the yard and property.
A weak cold front will be bringing the rain & wind ahead, so temps will stay in the 60s for most of the day until the cold front arrives tonight and temps will fall into the 50s overnight.
Sunday will feature the cold front from today stalling out likely just to the east of WABBLES. As long as this fully stalls outside of WABBLES, we should slowly clear out a bit and remain dry for Sunday. If the front stalls in WABBLES, we will stay cloudy and drizzly.
Temps will quickly rise back into the mid 60s on Sunday and retire back into the 50s overnight to transition into next week.
That will be all for today folks! I hope everyone has a great weekend and is safe out there! I encourage y’all to come visit us at our social media sites linked below for the latest weather info!
Have a blessed day!
