Happy Friday to all of you out there across WABBLES. We’ve got a great blog for you ahead of the weekend where you will see a few thunderstorm chances.
Today will feature the biggest chance for severe weather until next week. We will have more scattered clusters of storms thanks to the cold front that is slowly advancing southwards to us.
The SPC has WABBLES in a Slight Risk (level 2/5) for severe weather tomorrow. This is for the potential of isolated pockets of damaging winds and large hail within these clusters of storms. The keyword with these will be isolated, severe weather should remain somewhat limited but storms overall could be rather widespread.
While we will have some storm chances, we will still be seeing highs close to, if not at, triple digits. Heat indexes could reach as high as 105 so please remember to stay hydrated and well rested.
Waking up on Saturday we will see more rain and storm chances right off the bat and continuing throughout the day and evening. Currently, these are all expected to stay below severe limits.
Thanks to that cold front I mentioned earlier, highs on Saturday should remain a bit cooler in the upper 80s. So, it will still be hot but not nearly as unbearable.
Sunday should remain very quiet overall as we will have high pressure and drier air moving in from the north. This will also keep our highs in the upper 80s once again.
That will be all for today folks! I hope everyone has a great weekend out there and stays safe with the heat. As always I will have our social media sites linked below where I encourage you to come give us a visit.
Have a blessed weekend.
