Some Mild Relief from the Heat

Happy Friday my wonderful friends! I hope everyone has faired okay this week with the brutal heat and that everyone has been safe. I do have some mildly good news as we have some relief from the heat this weekend before the heat returns.

Today

Today we will feature a cold front entering the region, but not quite passing through WABBLES yet. This will bring some rain and storm chances throughout the morning.

Model Future Radar Throughout the Morning (Pivotal Weather)

The afternoon should start out storm-free, but there will be more isolated storms possible in the wake of this complex of storms. These will all have a low end chance of being strong to severe as the SPC has us in a Marginal Risk (level 1/5).

SPC Convective Outlook for Today

These storms will provide us a very slight break and relief from the blazing heat throughout the morning, but temps will quickly return into the lower 90s come mid afternoon.

Weekend

Saturday will feature the long awaited passage of the cold front and will usher in highs in the low-mid 80s. It is honestly sad that the mid 80s sounds so nice. Dewpoints will also be much lower which will significantly help those heat indexes.

That will be all for this blog folks! I hop everyone enjoys the cooler temps this weekend before the heat returns next week. I will put our social media sites linked below where you can see more frequent weather updates.

Have a blessed weekend.
