Top of the morning to you! How has your week been so far? We hope wonderful! Here’s some news that you all have been waiting for: no more rain! In today’s post, we will look at the dry trend expected for the end of this week and even the start of the new week!
If you’re out and about this morning, beware of slightly hazardous travel conditions. Roadways may be slick from the overnight accumulations of rainfall, so take it slow on the way to your workplace. Don’t forget to bundle up, too, as wind chills are likely to be below freezing for a majority of the day.
That may be a downer to some of you, but don’t let it be, because we don’t have rain in our forecast! Woohoo! Today, cloud cover will be decreasing as high pressure sets into our region of the country, moving those chances of precipitation aside. It’ll be a cold day, but dry, with light winds.
For the weekend, the forecast remains unchanged, with nothing but sunshine in store for our community. Winds will remain consistently calm, around five miles per hour, making for pleasant conditions. It may be a good day to get outdoors and go for a walk, as long as you have on a spare jacket to stay warm!
Whilst that seasonal, crisp air sticks around, we will gradually warm with each day. Temperatures will peak around the mid-40’s on Saturday and the lower 50’s on Sunday. Low’s will, however, linger in the below freezing range, around the upper 20’s.
Into the New Week
Into the new week, this dry, sunny trend will continue on. Even better, temperatures will once again remind us that Spring is right around the corner. High’s will reach around the mid-50’s Monday, the upper 50’s Tuesday, and the lower 60’s Wednesday. Low’s will rise as well, starting out below freezing on Monday and rising to the upper 30’s on Wednesday.
For the end of the week, the Climate Prediction Center predicts that temperatures will be moderately above average and precipitation will be slightly above normal. Thus, we will likely have chances for precipitation return by the weekend.
That’s all for today! Have a wonderful weekend! For more, follow us at @wxornotBG on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram!
