Good morning to you! How are you doing this week? We hope well! In today’s post, we’ll take a look at the threats associated with the showers that are to come, the sunny end to the week that we can look forward to, and even a peek at the holiday week ahead!
For today, that cold front that brought showers yesterday will turn stationary, calling for more showers. These will start out widespread and turn scattered by the evening. On the bright side, gusty winds are not expected.
Our main threat will be heavy precipitation that may cause isolated flash flooding across the community. This will be likely around the late morning hours into the afternoon (~10am to 5pm). On the roadways, be cautious of areas that are prone to rapid runoff. We can’t rule out a rumble of thunder, but severe weather is not expected.
Due to the timing of the cold front, we will have our low in the morning and high in the evening. For the start of the day, temperatures will remain steadily around 50 degrees, then start to warm up around the late afternoon. Temperatures will reach around 60 degrees by the nighttime.
For the weekend, the forecast will be rather split in conditions. Similar to today, Saturday will consist of gloom paired with consistent showers as another cold front moves through our region. Afterwards, high pressure will set in, calling for a clear and dry Sunday. What a great end to the week, right?
Throughout the weekend, temperatures will be on the decline. For Saturday, the high will reach the lower 60’s and the low will drop the lower 40’s. Sunday will be much cooler with a high in the lower 40’s and low in the mid 30’s. If you plan to spend time outdoors Sunday, be sure to bundle up!
The Holiday Week Ahead
