Welcome back to Monday, everyone! I hope you enjoyed this beautiful weekend. If you’re a fan of spring, then you’re going to love this week’s forecast! Our first taste of 70° weather is incoming this week.
Quiet Conditions to Start
High pressure continues to dominate much of the eastern U.S. which will make it hard for anything exciting to happen. More beautiful conditions can be expected though!
Monday will feature more plentiful sunshine with very little to no cloud cover in the forecast. Highs will also jump into the upper 60’s and feel very much like spring!
Tuesday we will see that high pressure begin to move out of the region, but we still look to remain dry. Partly cloudy conditions will grace our skies Tuesday, but the story will be temperatures potentially reaching 70°! That’s a good 13° above average for the start of March.
Wednesday continues the beautiful spring-like trend with more partly cloudy skies and highs once again flirting with 70°.
Is Spring Here to Stay?
The question you might be thinking now is “is spring here to stay?” With the official first day still 12 days away, it’s not uncommon to have major fluctuations in temperature as the jet streams become more active.
We can see as we look into next week that an upper-level low pressure is heading our way, and that typically brings cooler air with it. The Climate Prediction Center even has us seeing below average temperatures coming this weekend.
So the short answer is probably not, as it’s possible that we could see some cooler air filter back in next week. But don’t fret, winter isn’t coming back!
That finishes today’s forecast. Thanks for reading! Follow our live weather feed @wxornotBG, as well as on Facebook, for all your weather updates. Have a great Monday!
