Well folks, it seems the weather can’t make up its mind with multiple frontal passages over the last week. We had showers move through overnight and temperatures plummeting. Along with it we see below average temperatures for the weekend.
Morning lows across the Commonwealth
Temperatures dropped down into the low 40s and even upper 30s for many locations. A few areas just to the north of WABBLES may have picked up a bit of frost.
Temperatures Struggle Today
Showers overnight cleared the area leaving us with mostly clear conditions. Skies will still be sunny today, but temperatures will still struggle this afternoon.
Temperatures this afternoon will slowly rise into the upper 50s while struggling to reach 60 degrees. Winds remain calm throughout the day along with dry conditions.
High pressure is in control this weekend bringing calm conditions. Surface winds will be from the north this afternoon keeping us rather cool.
Frost Potential Saturday Morning
Frost advisories are not in effect this morning but will be in effect tomorrow. Temperatures are expected to get down into the mid-30s later tonight. Minimal winds and clear skies will run the risk for frost across the area.
Dry Weekend Ahead
It is going to be another quiet weekend across WABBLES with pleasant conditions. High pressure will still be in control bringing dry conditions to the region.
We will be watching a developing storm system across the northern plains this weekend. This will likely lead to another cold front moving through the area early next week.
Before that, temperatures will make their way into the upper 60s on Saturday under mostly sunny skies. Winds again remain calm but shift from out of the north to a southerly wind bringing milder air back into play.
Temperatures overnight Saturday drop into the 40s with no threat for frost expected. We see temperatures warm close to 70 on Sunday with increasing clouds. The cold front approaches Sunday night bringing a surge in moisture and rain chances the beginning of next week.
