Saturday wasn’t the best day to be outside with cool temperatures accompanying annoying rain and showers throughout the day. The good news as Saturday becomes Sunday is that sunshine closes out the weekend.
Sunday Lives Up to Namesake
You might run into a few clouds out the door this morning but, by and large, it should be a rather nice looking day.
A weak area of high pressure will settle into the area for today, keeping our skies mostly sunny but our temperatures on the cool side.
An afternoon high right around 50º is still around 6º below normal for this date. Overnight lows won’t be too far off, however, as we fall to about 35º under mostly clear skies.
Repeat Performance Monday
Those breezy south winds from today will really help warm us up tomorrow as more sunshine will greet us by the afternoon.
Highs should make their way up to around 60º with those 5-10 MPH southerly winds around the area. Clouds will be on the increase late, however, and this is thanks to our next weather maker. Lows fall only to about 40º with the clouds overhead.
Things look to get soggy as we head into one of the busiest travel periods of the year. A potent storm system will be making it’s way toward the region.
For us, this means a breezy and rainy time for especially Tuesday afternoon and evening as the front makes it’s way into the area.
We’re not expecting severe weather, but southerly winds ahead of this front could reach 15-20 MPH, with some gusts upwards of 35 MPH or so. Definitely something to watch.
Tuesday afternoon highs will make a run for about 62º or so before the front moves in. Overnight lows fall to near 50º as the front blasts through, switching our winds around to the northwest.
A Look to Turkey Day
Post-frontal high temperatures on Wednesday will hold steady around 50º as we’ll break out into partly sunny skies for the afternoon. Another chance for a cold rain works in for Thursday and Friday as we keep highs near 50º and rain chances going through the weekend. Things could still change, though, so we’ll be keeping an eye on it.
