Good Monday morning, y’all! Welcome back to the blog. I hope you took advantage of the beautiful weekend we had to do something outdoors! It has definitely been unseasonable, but enjoy it while you can because a change in the pattern comes this week.
Record Highs Risk Being Broken…Again
In case you missed it, yesterday’s high reached 82° here in Bowling Green, which tied the record high temperature for yesterday originally set back in 2005. Today looks to put another daily record high at risk, with a forecasted high in the upper 70’s. The record high for today is 78°, set in 1890!
Along with those warmer temps will be another day of sunshine! Beautiful conditions stick around another day. Enjoy it while you can! The clear conditions look to follow us into the overnight hours as lows drop to near 60°.
Cold Front Brings Some Action
Things start to get more interesting Tuesday as we finally see a change in the pattern. We’ll start the day off under sunny skies, but that will quickly change as a cold front approaches. Showers look to move in around noon, while high temps remain warm in the mid 70’s.
The bulk of the rain comes Tuesday night, however. Right now, totals are looking around 1″ once it’s all said and done. The cold front moves out by Wednesday morning, but will leave some clouds and cooler temperatures behind.
Highs Wednesday return to more seasonable conditions in the mid 60’s. Temperatures will remain in this range through the end of the week as the sunshine returns.
That finishes today’s forecast. Thanks for reading! Follow our live weather feed @wxornotBG, as well as on Facebook, for all your weather updates. Enjoy the beautiful day today!
