Good morning and happy Monday Folks!! The heat is on as we start the new work week, with the forecast calling for dangerous heat as we move throughout the day.
Heat Safety Tips and Awareness!! (NWS)
Heading out the door for your Monday morning commute, you will already be feeling the heat with temperatures in the morning in the middle 70s. An upper-ridge centered over the Great Plains will provide the heat that we will experience today. An area of high pressure will accompany this ridge which will enhance and help the heat build in underneath the ridge.
Very warm temperatures for Monday, UFFDA!! (NWS)
High pressure at the surface will help keep the skies mainly clear throughout the day, can’t rule out a few clouds during the afternoon hours. High temperatures around the WABBLES region will rise into the middle 90s with the feels like temperature, the heat index into the low 100s, YIKES!! Stay cool out there folks and stay hydrated.
Looking at tomorrows forecast! (Tenor Gifs)
Temperatures back off again, only into the lower 70s during the overnight hours tonight and heading into Tuesday. The heat backs off ever so slightly during the afternoon hours on Tuesday. A very slim chance of a pup up shower or thunderstorm developing during the afternoon hours, basically driven by the very warm and muggy temperatures. A common theme during the afternoon hours on a hot summer day in the Ohio and Tennessee River Valleys.
Tuesday’s forecast: Hot with isolated pop-up thunderstorms!! (NWS)
High temperatures around the area on Tuesday will hover around in the lower 90s once again, with clouds developing during the afternoon hours. Like I said earlier, can’t rule out an isolated shower or thunderstorms.
A better chance of rain returns to the area heading into Wednesday and Thursday, these upcoming rain chances will help back off the warm temperatures heading into the second half of the week.
6-10 Day Temperature Probability Outlook (Pivotal Weather)
A little sneak peek at the weekend and early next week temperatures, good chance at temperatures during that time period hovering right around normal.
