The forecast calls for some hit and miss summer-time showers and thunderstorms, especially during the afternoon hours on Friday. But, quiet weather sets up across the area for the weekend. Waking up and heading out the door this morning, you might experience some fog during your morning commute to work thanks to an abundance of moisture and light winds.

During the afternoon hours today, a cold front will begin to make its presence known as it slides through the Bluegrass state. As the cold front makes it to the area, it will help spark off some showers and thunderstorms. Thanks to a weaker cold front, the strong to severe weather threats will not be existent. That being said a few of these storms could produce some small hail, gusty winds, and heavy rain.
Tomorrow’s Forecast (NWS)
High temperatures today across the area will rise into the middle to upper 80s. Rain chances decrease rapidly heading into the evening and overnight hours with temperatures will fall back into lower 70s.
heading into Saturday, an area of high pressure at the surface will settle into the area from the northwest. You might be wondering what exactly does that mean, it means nothing but mostly sunny skies!!
