As you head out the door this morning, you might experience some patchy fog that could develop around the area. The fog will lift, giving way to mostly cloudy skies during the morning hours. A cold front will move through the Ohio River Valley during the morning, allowing cooler and drier air to settle into the region, but winds will definitely be noticeable. Wind gusts could be as high as 30 mph across the area.

High temperatures around the area will be very pleasant, only rising into the upper 70s.
Quiet Pattern Sets Up Over the Region
After an active and rainy weekend, a drier and pleasant pattern will settle in across the Ohio River Valley as an area of high pressure moves over the region.

Temperatures around the area on Tuesday will top out in the upper 70s with mostly sunny skies. Heading into the overnight hours on Tuesday, temperatures will fall back into the middle 50s.

Heading into Wednesday, the area of high pressure will continue to move towards the east, this will allow the winds to shift back out of the south and southeast. The south, southeasterly winds will usher in slightly warmer temperatures and higher dew points. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms will also accompany the higher temperatures and higher dew points during the afternoon and evening hours on Wednesday.

High temperatures across the area on Wednesday will top out in the lower 80s with partly cloudy skies and a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon hours.
Another dry and pleasant period will set up across the area heading into the second half of the work week (Thursday & Friday).
